Basically, something nuclear happened and a whole new world was created. This world was filled with mutated ponies, and they thrive on energy.

CHARACTERS

Phazeon- smoryninjeh

Tall, scaly mare with tentacles for a mane and tail and no ears and mouth. She has a scaly belly and feet with spiky, webbed wings. Her tentacles and eyes glow, and she has large spikes running down her back that glow too. Her cutie mark is a skull sitting in green goop with glowing eyes.

Short-Circuit- icemoon

Tall alicorn mare made entirely out of gleaming bronze. Her wings are long an sharp at the tips. Her horn is also very long and spiraling, though the tip isn't very sharp. Her mane and tail are made of small chain links of metal in a braided fashion. She has large glimmering emeralds for eyes.
Cutie Mark: Her cutie mark is three green sparks.
Personality: Despite being made of bronze, she does have a personality. She isn't exactly the most caring pony, but she is loyal to her friends. She speaks in a high-pitched metallic drone, and is kind of embarrassed at this, so she doesn't talk much. She works magic quite well. She's very creative and good at making things out of metal.

Short_Circuit trotted out of her house (which was fashioned from large copper plates). A large forest grew out back, but it wasn't a normal forest; all the trees were made of copper (strangely, she was the only bronze thing around). The 'leaves' were large green sparks. Live green sparks. One fell off a tree ahead and popped and sizzled when it hit the ground. She sighed. All the trees were the exact same height, lined in neat rows. Short_Circuit's Granddam had told her about the time before the Nuclear Disaster, when the trees were... different. Short_Circuit wished for such a world, but the Nuclear Disaster had wiped it all away.

(Horse grandmothers would be called Granddams, I think, because mothers are called dams.)

Phazeon stood still and tall on a high rock, her tentacle mane waving and taking in the air around her. green-black clouds hung in the gray sky, and she sighed through her nostrils, for she lacked a mouth. She spread her wings when a strong gust of wind blew her gently into the air and she took off on an unexpected flight.

In a tree ahead of her, a metallic bird (Is that steel? thought Short_Circuit. We don't get much steel around here...) was chirping a tuneless melody. It lifted and took flight. One of the steel plates in its left wing was slightly bent, and made a rhythmic clanking sound whenever it flapped. "Come here, little bird," called Short_Circuit, her droning voice echoing through the forest.

Floating silently on the stank air, Phazeon lept from current to current gracefully before streching her wings and floating lazily along once more

The bird flew over and landed on Short_Circuit's shoulder. She spread her wings with a soft metallic whoosh and soared soundlessly up to the top floor (there were seven in total) of her house, where she had made her workshop. She flew in through the open window and landed on the floor, her sharp copper hooves clanging on the copper surface.

Hearing the clank of her friend, Short_Circuit, Phazeon sharply folded in her wings and corkscrewed from the gray gloom, before pulling up quickly to land silently on Short's window seal. She tapped her hoof a few times to notify her presence. Her heart seemed to sink a little, hoping Short would understand her this time.

Short_Circuit jerked her head up. She saw Phazeon tapping on the window, and flew over to open it.

Phazeon's "mane" waved happily and she nodded thanks as she gently leaped in, landing almost soundless. She looked to the small metal bird and cocked her head as if saying whatcha doin?

The bird twittered it's tuneless melody again. It fluttered down to rest on one of Short_Circuit's workbenches.
